Dennis has been working as a student assistant for the MPI’s Psychology of Language department since November 2018. His tasks include assisting researchers with the development of materials for their (linguistic) experiments, recruiting participants for those experiments, and collecting and (pre-)processing the various kinds of experimental data. He has a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Radboud University and is currently enrolled as a research master’s student in Linguistics and Communication Sciences. While language in general fascinates him, he is particularly interested in the psycholinguistics of learning to read and write in a second language.
In his free time, Dennis likes to study foreign languages, read sappy romance or epic fantasy novels, play relaxing video games or ones that make his brain hurt, look up at the stars with binoculars until he can buy a proper telescope, sing slightly beyond his actual vocal range, and practice archery. |
